FAQ

Questions, answered straight

How do I get access after paying?

Checkout sends a receipt email with your access link. Click it and you're in the course area, on any device. No account password to manage in this first version; the link is your key, so keep the email.

How long do I have access?

Forever, as far as we're concerned. Courses are buy-once: no subscription, no expiry, and updates to a course you own are free.

What hardware do I need?

It depends on the course. Each course page lists its exact kit. The Zigbee course uses an nRF52840 DK, one or two nRF52840 Dongles, an HLK-LD2410 sensor and an IKEA TRÅDFRI bulb (roughly US$70 to 110 total). The same desk kit carries into future courses. Hardware is never included in the course price.

Do I need experience?

Basic C and having seen a microcontroller is the floor for the Zigbee course. Everything platform-specific (Zephyr, Zigbee, the tooling) is taught from zero inside the course. If you can't yet read C comfortably, start there first. We'll be here.

Is there support if I get stuck?

Yes. Email support from the instructor is included with every paid course. Labs are written to end in observable checkpoints ("you are done when…"), so most stuck moments resolve by checking which checkpoint you haven't reached yet.

What if I get stuck, or have a question about the material?

Ask us. Every paid course includes lifetime email support: email your question about the course to [email protected] and a working engineer replies within 1 to 2 working days, for as long as you own the course. Support covers questions about the course material and its labs. It is not general consulting, and it does not extend to debugging projects unrelated to the course. (Checkout and the contact form wire up at launch; the support commitment applies from day one.)

What's the refund policy?

14 days, no questions asked. Email us and we refund in full. The full policy is on the Refund Policy page. (Draft until launch. The promise itself won't change.)

Do I get a certificate?

Not a framed one. You leave with something better in an interview: a working product on your desk and a Wireshark capture of it that you can explain frame by frame. If formal certificates matter to your employer, ask us. It's on the roadmap.

Will there be free courses?

Yes. One or two short courses will be free, in the same project-based format. The catalog marks them clearly when they land.
